Drawing in Nature

I have been drawing and painting a lot the past few days.  I'm trying to get some cards ready to post to my ETSY very soon.  I haven't had lots of luck on ETSY so we shall see!  If anyone has a shop and can pass on some good advise on selling please do.

I've been drawing faces for the 29 FACES in Feb challenge and I love the results so far.  I post more often on my Instagram so if you want to see more you can follow me there.  She's not done yet...I need to fix some lines and paint.

This is the last page of my chipboard journal I bought a while back.  Can't believe I actually completed it.  The last two pages are my favorite.  I'm going to head to the craft store today to look for another journal!

  4. Love all the texture in your journal. I've found that with selling cards online, it's best to find a small niche market. My instinct was always to create things that a broad audience could appreciate, but doing that just buries your work in a sea of competition.

  10. Danielle, apart from what I said on my blog about Etsy, my advice to you is do what you love first, nurture your shop, keep it fresh, don't give up. Don't confine yourself to cards; consider artwork, art tags, and so on. People like variety and they like a shop that's active. It took me almost a year to get things rolling, and it has paid off. Hope this helps!

  14. I've so loved the chipboard journal - the unusual format has allowed you to create some really individual and beautiful pages... and the face is wonderful.

  15. Beautiful face, can't wait to see it colored! And the journal pages are terrific. Etsy is a bit of a numbers game. There are hundreds of thousands of shops there! So, the more items in your shop, the better. And in your tags, try to use two-word phrases someone might use when looking for items like yours. :)
