Late Night Tag for City Crafter Blog

I came across a new challenge blog called City Crafter Challenge Blog.  I love the simple challenges, so I jumped right in!  The theme for this week is "Make the Cut."  I kept my oversized tag very simple since I'm working 10 hr days lately.  This bird stamp is brand new from the Micheal's $1.50 spot and I fussy cut the letter in it's mouth and popped it up.  I used a few scraps from  my stash and here is what I came up with...

Other supplies: Tim Holtz diecut clock; Maya Road flower

Christmas Cards

I just wanted to share two Christmas Cards with you before it's too late...
Christmas is coming so fast!

My first card is Webster's Pages meets K & Company.  The base of the card is Websters Pages Botanical Collection and the cute girl and transparency are from K & Co Brenda Walton Collection.  I loved layering these two together.  I used my exacto knife to open the door in the patterned paper...

So that I could hide Santa!

My next card doesn't scream Christmas but I wanted to use non-traditional items to make a Christmas card.  The papers are from The Paper Studio, the transparency and bird image are both 7 Gypsies, and the  stamp is Studio G.

Have a great Friday!

Tags 11 & 12...

Here are my final two tags for my 12 Tags of Christmas...
it's was hard to keep up but I like to push myself to create more when I can.

These two tags are different from the others because I was really wanting to collage
random pieces onto my tag and not worry too much if it matched.
They turned out great, I've started to collage more with my cards as well.

Supplies: Paper; Paper Studio; 7 Gypsies transparency and Ephemera card.

My last tag was a collage as well.  I mixed in a bunch of different elements to get my finished tag.  It's nice to not worry so much where everything goes all the time!

Supplies; Recollections flowers; Tattered Angels frame;
7 Gypsies transparency & Ephemera; Prima lace.

Don't forget to comment to win the box of goodies by Dec 31, 2011!

My stocking is hung....

I received this amazing Christmas stocking and some great gifts from Terri during our stocking swap hosted by the Little Pink Studio's blog.  I am very late on posting my photos but my family and I are really enjoying all of the wonderful things she took the time to make herself.

I will probably have this stocking in the same spot well into the new year!  She also made me some really cool ornaments and hooked me up with a ton of goodies that I've already started using.

This vintage inspired banner she made hangs wonderfully at the
entrance to my desk area.  I admire it everyday!

This was an awesome swap.  Please check out her blog!

Three More Tags...

Since I will be super busy in the next few days I will go head and post the rest of my tags today and tomorrow.  I will also extend my giveaway until the 31st of December!

This tag is also tea dyed.  I used torn music sheet paper, stamped with snow flakes on the back of the card and then Graphic 45 paper at the base of the fabric flower.

For my next tag, I used my fav papers from Gartner Studios,
a key from my stash and a Tim Holtz number piece.

My next tag is so simple.  I stamped the background with a Hero Arts script stamp, then added a rosette to the front and layered a TH clock face and bling on top.

The tape measure ribbon I picked up a long time ago at Big Lots...I'm almost out of it :(

Well, that's it for right now...thanks for looking!

This was my favorite tag of his this year so I just had to try it.  I didn't have most of the

I was able to finally use these Tim Holtz wings and this seemed like to perfect project for them.  I love the house shape in any project; I hope to make more tags like this one.

Other supplies: Prima Printery paper, TH rosette trim.

Thanks for stopping by!

Inspiration from Tim's Tags (Tag #2)

I'm super late on making Tim Holtz tags but I wanted to give it a shot, so here's what I created!

Day 4 of My 12 Tags of Christmas

Hello there...it's time for day tag #4!  This tag was super simple to make.  I only used four items to make it!  I'm really feeling black lately so I picked out some black rosette trim I got from Joann's a while back and placed it in the center added bling, two skeleton leaves from Wild Orchid Crafts, a Tim Holtz ticket and I was done!

Day 3 of My 12 Tags of Christmas

Good Morning!
It's day three and here is my next tag!  I used my Oxford Impressions stamps on a piece of burlap and I ended up with a nice subtle image.  I then layered my trims and a big flower from Recollections.  The tiny rose on the top is from Wild Orchid Crafts.  This was a very simple tag to create.

Have a great day!!!

Day 2 of My 12 Tags of Christmas

Here is the tag for day two!  This tag reminds me of the ballet.  I really enjoy working with these soft simple colors.  The bingo card in the background is cut from Tim Holtz Lost and Found paper pad.  The black trim and hand charm are both from Joann's.

I bunched up some pink tulle in a tiny ball and gently unravelled it to create an abstract flower.  I then added bling behind the tulle for some shine!

I really appreciate all your awesome comments!  If you try any of the tags please let me know in the comments so we can all see!

For the giveaway, you don't have to comment on every tag post, just one comment
will enter your name in the drawing!  I just got some online goodies in so I will be
posting a photo of the prize very soon.

Have a great day!!!

Day 1 of My 12 Tags of Christmas

My inspiration for these tags come from the Advent Tags from the 2GypsyGirls Blog.  I love the neutral colors and vintage style so I wanted to give them a try with my own twist.

I started with a tea dyed tag and torn patterned paper from K & Co Brenda Walton paper pad.  I stamped the background and the tread spool with stamps from Oxford Impressions "Sewing Notions" collection.  I added the crochet butterfly from Wild Orchid Crafts, trims and the cutest spool charm from my stash.

Giveaway details....I will have a giveaway at the end of the 12 days which is Christmas Day! All you have to do is be a follower and comment on at least one of the "12 tags" posts.  You will be getting a bunch of goodies to create your own tags!  I will post more about the prize soon!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Altered Dress Form

I've had this wooden dress form from Michael's for the longest and
I finally pulled it out and dressed her up!

I had so much fun making this!  I first painted it black and covered this side with paper from Gartner Studios (my fav) then added bling, charms, buttons, a crochet flower and a
vintage lady from Tim Holtz paper line.

This side was a challenge but a fun one because I popped out this Tim Holtz bird cage and added a huge necklace charm behind it.  I used my Fiskers flower punch for the small flowers.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!
