Rosettes Color Trends Challenge - Happy Birthday

Today, I created a card for the Embellish Magazine Blog Challenge.  Whenever it comes to a color challenges I get nervous because I end up deviating from rules all together!  This time I was able to stay within the colors given because they are so lovely.  I enjoyed working with the chic set of colors.  I probably would have never matched them up together on my own.

Okay...here is the inspiration photo...

And here is my card...rosettes along with the colors above had to be featured on the card.

Fussy and Fancy DT Call Submission

Hello,
I wanted to use this post as an opportunity to share three of my favorite projects for the Fussy and Fancy DT Call! I came across this awesome challenge blog just recently and I would love the chance to be a part of their design team.

I have been scrapbooking for two and half years now and it has quickly taken over my life!!!  I have served on two design teams before so I am familiar with submitting projects on a monthly and weekly basis.  I love sharing my projects with others as well as looking to see what other crafters are making.  My style is girly, shabby chic, and vintage.

Here is my first project:  I created a mini-album using Prima's Printery paper line (one of my fav's) and a chipboard house shape from Micheal's.  I enjoyed working with this paper line and all it's embellishments!  I put a lot of work into it and I hope you enjoy!

My next project is a Birthday Card I made for a friend.  She is a Fashion Major so I had to use dressforms on her card.  The flowers act as cute puffy skirts.

And last but not least, I would like to share an altered clipboard
calendar I created for a swap.

Thank you for reading!

Faux Embossing

I have never seen or heard of Faux Embossing until I came across the "Just Us Girls" Challenge Blog.  Since I don't have any die cutting or embossing machines I just had to try it out.  I have to say this technique is so fun and easy.  I was able to bust out two cards for this challenge!

Supplies: Prima flowers and dressform, Martha Stewart
Crown punch, Tim Holtz tissue tape.

Supplies: 7 Gypsies tape, Tattered Angels frame, Recollections Flowers,
Colorbok Die Cut, Martha Stewart Bird punch.

Thank JUGS for hosting this challenge!  I had lots of fun!

Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge

I recently came across a new challenge blog called Fussy and Fancy.  I decided to dive right in to this weeks challenge which is "Fairies!" I made a fairy banner using Graphic 45 Once Upon a Springtime papers and a house shape chipboard book from Micheal's.

Too bad the weather is so gloomy...projects like these help me look forward to Spring!

Once Upon a Springtime Card

I've finally unpacked all my scrapbook stuff and I'm ready to go!  Here is a card I created with Graphic 45 Once Upon a Springtime collection.  I would like to enter this card into The Shabby Tea Room Colorful Confections challenge and Mojo Monday's Sketch challenge.
