I'm off to Paris....

I wish!  No, I'm not going to Paris but I did create two tags for this week's Fussy and Fancy challenge...Trip around the World.  I did a lot of stamping and fabric collage.  I tried not to think too hard.  I just added random bits and here are the finished tags...

This will be my last post for the Fussy and Fancy DT.  I have had a great time on the team and will continue to follow and participate in their great challenges.  Thank you for following along with me and I hope you have a chance to join in this weeks challenge!

This wooden door hanger was under a $1 at Michael's.

Papers; My Mind's Eye
Locket; Prima

Lace: Hobby Lobby

Altering projects are so much fun!

Fussy & Fancy DT Challenge Fancy Folds

Hi All!
This weeks challenge over at Fussy and Fancy is to create a project using fancy folds.  I tried a couple folds before I came to this very simple tri-fold card.  The card measures 6 x 11in" and is scored at 2 1/2 in" and again at 7 1/2 in".  My masculine card is a birthday card for my stepdad.  I was happy with the results and here it is....

I used twine to bind my card and hid it within the layer of ephemera.

Supplies: K & Co Ephemera
Gartner Studios papers
7 Gypsies metal embellishment

I enjoyed working on this card and look forward to making more just like this one.
If you give it a try please let me know!

I look forward to seeing your projects over at Fussy & Fancy!

Butterflies, Ribbon, & Punch for Fussy & Fancy!

This weeks Fussy & Fancy challenge calls for a recipe of butterflies, ribbon, and punches! So, for my DT project I created a butterfly wall hanging.  I wanted to create something inspirational for my walls because they are so bare so I pulled out my chipboard diecut shapes and this butterfly shape was perfect.

I kept the colors light and started with papers from the My Mind's Eye Follow Your Heart collection.  I painted edges white and pulled my trims and layered those along side a $1 spot frame I picked up at Michael's.  I again added the paper in the frame and used this great Melody Ross Word Plaque to the center.  My Fiskers butterfly punch, flat back pearls, and white seam binding
finished off my project nicely.

I chose 'trust the journey' because in my creative journey I really rely on the creativity I've been blessed with.  This creativity makes me unique, happy, and thankful.  I hope you are inspired by this project.

Please don't forget to stop by the Fussy and Fancy Blog to join in on this
challenge for a chance to win a guest designer spot!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Fussy and Fancy DT Call Submission

Hello,
I wanted to use this post as an opportunity to share three of my favorite projects for the Fussy and Fancy DT Call! I came across this awesome challenge blog just recently and I would love the chance to be a part of their design team.

I have been scrapbooking for two and half years now and it has quickly taken over my life!!!  I have served on two design teams before so I am familiar with submitting projects on a monthly and weekly basis.  I love sharing my projects with others as well as looking to see what other crafters are making.  My style is girly, shabby chic, and vintage.

Here is my first project:  I created a mini-album using Prima's Printery paper line (one of my fav's) and a chipboard house shape from Micheal's.  I enjoyed working with this paper line and all it's embellishments!  I put a lot of work into it and I hope you enjoy!

My next project is a Birthday Card I made for a friend.  She is a Fashion Major so I had to use dressforms on her card.  The flowers act as cute puffy skirts.

And last but not least, I would like to share an altered clipboard
calendar I created for a swap.

Thank you for reading!

Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge

I recently came across a new challenge blog called Fussy and Fancy.  I decided to dive right in to this weeks challenge which is "Fairies!" I made a fairy banner using Graphic 45 Once Upon a Springtime papers and a house shape chipboard book from Micheal's.

Too bad the weather is so gloomy...projects like these help me look forward to Spring!
