Crafting on a rainy day...

I just finished my project for Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge #22, which was based off of Joshua 24:15, "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."  I decided to make some home decor.  I got this wooden oval piece from Hobby Lobby, painted it, distressed it, and covered it with paper.  I made the house shape from a cereal box and the flowers from paper.  I had fun making it!

If you have any questions or comments please let me know!

  1. Danielle, great project! My favorite part are the roses. Ok, so did you distress the edges a bit and then adhere some chunky glitter? Good job on distressing the plaque, too! :)

  4. Janice, I got the paper alittle wet to bend the petals, then yes I added chucky glitter.

Thanks everyone for your kind words!

  5. Hello Danielle! I love this project! it is a great work of art! you asked about my card - it is actually Adirondack dye inks that you ink your stamp up with, and spritz with a mini mister, and then stamp - it gives the watercolor effect! it works with Tombows, Embossig pens and most dye inks!
