Clipboard Calendar for a Swap

Today I wanted to share a clipboard calendar and altered wooden jewelry box I made for my swap partner.  The swap group is called the Secret Squirrel Sisterhood Society Cigar Box Swap over on Facebook.  Our monthly challenge is to alter a Cigar or Wooden Box and this month you were to include a handmade calendar along with your box.  I had a great time with this swap.  I love anything vintage so that is what I tried to do with my projects.

The clipboard is a plain chipboard you can pick up from just about anywhere.  I used scrapbooking papers and embellishments to alter this project.  Each month is held at the top with the clip and I added an envelope on the back to hold the other months.  The calendar can hang in just about any room in the house!!!

Supplies used: calendar Tim Holtz Lost & Found paper stack & rosette trim; Maya Road crochet flower; Recollections bling and flower; other trims from my stash.

I would also like to share the box I created for my partner...

....the inside....

This will also be my show and tell share over at My Romantic Home Blog!
Thanks so much for reading and commenting!!!

  1. Oh my goodness--these projects are gorgeous! I have been out of scrapbooking for awhile and so I'm not up on the newer stuff--I love that bling. I will have to get myself some of that! Your swap partner will be elated with these..how could she not be. Beautiful!
