Inspired Vintage

I made this tiny shadow box a while ago.  I love how toile fabric tells a story.

I used postcard craft paper and lots of crackle paint around the edges.
The dress and birds are cut from the fabric.  I kept the project fairly simple.

Beautiful Spirit

Happy Sunday,
Hope you are all blessed and well.  I have a card share for you today.  My color inspiration comes from the Embellish Blog.  I love the color combo they have for this week's challenge but I have to say that this was a tough one!  I'm glad I had these cute buttons by Studio G.  I picked them up from Wal-mart for $1 a while back and they are perfect for this challenge!

The sketch I used is from Just Us Girls Challenge #148

It took some trial and error to get the completed card because you really have to dig through your stash to find what colors are needed but I had fun putting it together.  I am always in love with vintage ephemera so that is the theme of this card.  I hope to use it as a Birthday card for a co-worker next month.

Ephemera die cuts-K&Co
Glass bottle-Tim Holtz

Background paper-The Paper Studio
Sentiment stickers-Melody Ross

Thanks so much for stopping in I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Vintage with Lace & Distressing for Fussy & Fancy DT

This weeks challenge over on Fussy & Fancy is to create a vintage inspired project and incorporate lace and distressing.  This project is right up my ally!  I love anything vintage and distressed, so I created a door hanger for my room.

This wooden door hanger was under a $1 at Michael's.

Supplies: Vintage Photos; Tim Holtz paper stack
Papers; My Mind's Eye
Locket; Prima
Door Knocker: Art-I-Cake
Lace: Hobby Lobby

Altering projects are so much fun!
I can't wait to see what you create for the challenge at Fussy &Fancy!

Vintage Tag

Happy Friday,

I recently completed a quick tag with a stamp I got from Ibreakforstamps.com a while ago.  It's the large Paris air ballon stamp.  I like how it turned out but I think I might turn it into a card to give away.

I'm running low on my blue primas so I tore it apart and just laid out the petals.
